Week # 45

Life is filled with hard times and tough situations. How we deal with these seasons in our lives shows our true character. Perseverance is a tough lesson to learn. No one enjoys going through hard times. Yet, hard times make us stronger men and women of God. We learn in these times to rely on God and His direction rather than our own. We learn that a faith and trust in God are daily life principles, not just things that we use when we need them. 

James 1:2-4 “Dear brothers and sisters,^[a] when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. ³ For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. ⁴ So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

Once we come through these tough times of life, we can look back and see God’s plan for us was always there. When you go through a tough time; run to God not away from Him. Persevere allow your trials to be a time when you affect others the most. Let them see your faith and unwavering trust in God.
