Worship Through Peace
Week # 49
The word peace appears in the Bible 450 times. With that repetition, God must be telling us something. Peace should be a regular part of our lives. Unfortunately we tend to live our lives in fear and stress. This is not what God intends for us.
2 Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
God expects us to live a life of power, love, and peace.
Ps. 91:1-2 “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.”
In times when we struggle to find peace, all we need to do is run to our God for protection.
Luke 2:14 ““Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
Christ’s very coming was intended to bring peace into our world. The sad fact is that most only strive for peace and show peace at Christmas. Peace should be an act of worship for the believer and a way of life.
